I had been wanting to try this spot for a while, and I finally got the chance to visit. It was my first time trying onigiri and a strawberry sandwich. I wasn't a big fan of the salmon onigiri because it had a strong fishy smell, but the spam onigiri was much tastier. The strawberry sandwich was delicious--I loved the cream and the soft bread.

What a cute place! We came here for a late breakfast and got strawberry soufflé pancakes. The presentation was so beautiful and they were so light and fluffy and not overly sweet. They were delicious! They were really nice and accommodated us gave us cups of water for our toddlers. I'm going to come back and try the Ube ones.

After a dinner outing, I decided to visit Okaeri Japanese Cafe and ordered only the Hot Hojicha Tea and the Matcha Soufflé Pancake. Despite the pancake taking a bit of time to prepare, it was definitely worth the wait! Both the tea and pancake were perfectly balanced in sweetness, not too overwhelming but just right to satisfy my craving for something sweet after dinner. The cafe itself is cozy, but small, so it might feel a bit tight inside. Parking can also be a challenge during dinner hours, especially with other busy restaurants in the plaza, and the spaces are pretty narrow. Overall, I loved the items I tried, and I wish I had room to order more! I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

I love pancakes, so I was excited to try the Japanese souffle pancakes. When you walk in, you can order from screen menus, and it seems most people come for either the pancakes or the variety of matcha drinks. After browsing the menu, I decided to order the strawberry souffle pancakes and a matcha latte. Keep in mind, if you order the pancakes, there's about a 20 minute wait. The pancake presentation was nice, and when I took my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. They were fluffy, delicious, and not overly sweet. Unlike regular pancakes, which can be dense, these felt like biting into a warm cloud. If you're a pancake lover, you definitely need to try them. As for my drink, the matcha latte was a bit disappointing. It tasted more like cold milk than matcha. Despite that, I'd return for the pancakes. The space is small and tends to get busy, so finding a table during peak hours might be a challenge.

So happy that this place exists! I came back to visit nova and went here with my mom. We have been looking for good souflee pancake and Okaeri Cafe does such a great job! I would 100% recommend this cafe to anyone looking for Japanese souflee pancakes! It gets busy so going when they open is what I would recommend! I'll be coming back to try more from here for sure :) we also had the houjicha latte as well

My daughter loves the food here. I bring here a long way to get here. She loves everything she has tried so far. It is small inside but we were able to find a seat.

I've heard and seen a lot about Japanese Soufflé Pancakes but didn't know where to get them until we came across Okaeri! They close a little on the early side so we haven't been able to get in until recently. We went in and it was nicely decorated, lots of wood detailing everywhere. There were only about 5-6 tables and some seating near the wall too. We went and placed our order in on the kiosk and saw they had a lot of options. We opted for the Ube Soufflé Pancakes, Choco Banana Sandwich, and the Omurice Onigiri. Despite the signing saying the pancakes can take 20 minutes, it came out in less than 10. The Pancakes were really light and fluffy, topped well, and most importantly not too sweet. The Choco Banana Sandwich had a lot of cream but you couldn't really taste much chocolate at all. The onigiri were great on flavor and was a great snack for us. Overall a nice mid day break type of place with a lot of great snacks and dessert type things. I would come back to try their heavier offerings and drinks too.

A very cute but small place. There's only a couple of tables, so we ended up getting some bar space in the back. The curry rice was pretty good! Rich curry flavor, soft rice, and well made pork cutlets. The matcha latte was a bit too sweet. But there's an option to change sugar level, so I'll personally have to change it next time. I needed to try how it's normally made first though to have a point for comparison! Lastly, I took a bunch of food to go for breakfast the next day: 1. Strawberry & cream sandwich 2. Banana & Nutella sandwich 3. Tuna mayo onigiri 4. Salmon onigiri 5. Matcha mochi donut 6. Ube mochi donut They were all surprisingly pretty good and solid options, even having gone to Japan the week before, so I wonder where they get their stuff (or even ingredients, if they make these foods themselves). "Okaeri" is known for their soufflé pancakes though, which I didn't get to try this time around b/c I wanted actual protein lol, so I'd love to come back next time to try them and then get a bunch of stuff to go again! (Highly recommend this method!)

Yum! Had this place bookmarked for awhile and am so glad we got a chance to try it out. I love their ordering system. Go up to the kiosk and place your order, you are given an order number and your receipt is sent to your phone. If you are planning to order one of their soufflé pancakes, it takes about 20 mins or so for preparation. In addition to soufflé pancakes, they also offer hot and cold drinks, mochi doughnuts, dorayaki, onigiri, parfaits, gelato, crepe cakes, and fruit sandwiches. We enjoyed everything ordered. It was all well seasoned, nothing was overly salty or overly sweet. The consistency was on point and the presentation is lovely. I love the attention to details. The ambiance is laid back and cozy. This place couldn't be any cuter. I'm so glad we visited and can't wait to come back and try some of their other menu items!
